Kathryn Lyn
Kathryn first landed in LA as a teenage runaway with a notebook full of hand-written comic book fan fiction, which she assumed someone would want to turn into movies. They did not.
After moving back to rural Michigan, Kathryn buckled down and got a real education—by working at a video store while taking community college writing classes at night. Following a stint at Second City in Chicago, she returned to Los Angeles and eventually became a feature film Development Executive while privately pursuing a career as a genre TV writer.
She sold her first TV spec pilot to Paramount Global, followed by sales to Freeform, A+E Studios, and CBS Studios. She has spent the past four seasons writing for STAR TREK, where she is currently Supervising Producer on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
She previously wrote on Star Trek: Lower Decks (where her work was nominated for a Hugo Award) and Star Trek: Section 31. She’s also written TV projects for Blumhouse and Netflix, and is currently writing a horror podcast series for AwesomenessTV.
When she’s not writing, she’s usually playing video games or watching horror movies.
