TV Rewrite Lab is an intensive 8-week course designed for writers ready to fully rewrite and polish an existing TV project. Whether you’re working on a drama or a comedy pilot, or a spec, Script Anatomy’s proven frameworks and techniques will help you refine your script so your story resonates, lands with emotional impact, and captures the attention of industry professionals.
Before class begins, your instructor will provide detailed personal notes on your script, giving you a clear roadmap for your rewrite. Over five in-depth sessions, you’ll tackle Core Structural Beats, deepen Character and Relationship Dynamics, heighten Conflict & Stakes, and refine every layer of your story (see full breakdown below). Each week, you’ll submit 10 newly revised pages for honest, constructive feedback from both your instructor and peers.
The final three weeks will feature live table reads with professional actors, bringing your script to life—an invaluable experience for any writer.

Your own material: While we know some writers use AI tools for researching and brainstorming, we ask that the scripts and pages you bring to class represent your own writing and creative decisions. Using AI tools to generate scenes, dialogue, or structure in place of your own work undermines the purpose of the program and is highly discouraged.
Other writers’ material: As a reminder, everything shared in this room, scripts, pitches, and personal shares, falls under the “cone of silence” category and is also considered someone’s original work and IP (intellectual property). Please don’t run anyone else’s material through ChatGPT, Claude, Sudowrite, or any other AI tool. Writers in this industry are understandably protective of their work, and we treat that seriously.
