Writing is rewriting, and this is the place to do it, right up to a table read of your finished script by professional actors!

Whether you’re writing TV drama or comedy, a spec or a pilot, Script Anatomy’s tools can help you rebuild and finesse your script.

TV Rewrite Lab is an 8-week class designed for students who want to re-break or re-write an existing project entirely.

Classes cover: Concept / Structure & Re-breaking / Character Flaw & Active Goal / Relationship Dynamics & Progression / Arcs / Sequence Building / Scene Work / Dialogue Techniques / Scene Transitions / Act Breaks / Theme / Polish

Class Structure

Pre Class Starting: Writers hand in their drafts and receive notes on their scripts before the first class begins.

The first 5 weeks: Your Instructor will teach lessons and rewriting tools (see Classes Cover above). Writers will apply what they’ve learned each week to an act of their script and receive notes the next week from instructor and peers.

The last 3 weeks: Each writer will have a table read of their rewritten script with professional actors and watch their work come to life—an exciting and invaluable experience for any writer.

Required: Televisionary or equivalent experience.
