Erinne Dobson
Erinne has made a career of creating tension in her work, and aspires to help students ratchet up the tension in theirs.
She just finished writing on the final season of family drama Chesapeake Shores after several seasons on Good Witch, and has penned more than ten TV movies, several of which have spawned sequels and threequels.
A Carnegie Mellon graduate, she started out as a medical writer, then progressed to writers’ assistant, then staff writer after winning the ABC/Disney Fellowship. She credits her early work on sitcoms with helping her hone her dialog skills, but her desire to create deeper stories drew her to drama.
Erinne gets fodder for her writing from her children, while her attorney husband, who worked in both the L.A. and Long Beach D.A’s office, is her source for darker material. She’s been named a Blacklist TV Writer to Watch and most recently, a 2022 WGA Writers Access Project Honoree.
