Sam Zvibleman is the Emmy-Nominated Co-Creator, Writer, and Director of PEN15 (Hulu).
Sam was born and raised in the Midwest, and until 19, was destined to work for the newspaper like his Grandfather. A career in movies and tv sounded like a career as a potato farmer on Mars until he accidentally signed up for a History of Cinema class and everything changed.
He went on to co-create and executive produce the critically-acclaimed Hulu series Pen15, and wrote and directed the majority of episodes. The series earned widespread industry recognition including four Primetime Emmy Award nominations, a Peabody nomination, two Critics Choice Award nominations, and three Writers Guild of America nominations, among others.
In addition to selling several feature and TV projects, Sam is a Black List screenwriter with multiple features in active development.
Most recently, Zvibleman signed on to adapt, co-write, and direct “Flat Earth,” the award-winning debut novel alongside author and co-creator Anika Jade Levy, for Vice Studios.
Sam approaches screenwriting with a filmmaker’s eye, which can help projects get beyond the page and to a greenlight. While most of his professional work is in dark comedy, Sam is a true cinephile, with an immense knowledge and passion of film history across all genres.
